If you lift the front end, it will need an alignment... If you lower the rear, it will not need an alignment.

Adjustment/alignment is basic maintenance, if you have uneven tire wear, or your vehicle pulls to a certain side, or if you change/modify your front suspension.

The rear suspension on these trucks, as long as nothing is broken, has no alignment.

Thanks for the clarification.

If I post a photo of my truck can you guys tell which side is higher. I would rather have it higher on both side than lower on both sides.
If it's on level ground, we can... But the rear will be higher, from the factory... So it sits level with a load on.

Ok So I should get the front end leveled as the same as the rear. And get the adjustment.
Correct ☺️

This is all so freaking confusing!!! [emoji38]
If you bring it to a decent shop, they'll take care of it for you ☺️

Nothing today. But need to find my new oil leak in the back. Looked at the oil pressure switch and it is damp but not wet like under the truck. Next is the rear main seal and or oil pan. Either way it will be a MPITA to fix since the transmission has to come out and it being four wheel drive that adds to the fun.

I guess I'm lucky at 177k and this is the first oil leak.

No doubt. The Tahoe finally started springing leaks after sitting for months at a time. I steamed the engine off, changed the oil, and took it for a 100 mile drive before I sold it. It dried right up! Man, I will never have a rig that good again :(
