Took it in to the dealership for an appraisal.

What'd they say, "used up!?" [emoji38]
Surprisingly, no, lol. They're giving me enough to pay out what I owe on it, lol. With a little left over to put towards the new one... If the banks agree, my payments drop by 100 biweekly.

LOL okay, I'll bite.

What kind of econobox are you trying to buy?

What is this bi-weekly crap? In Canuckistan the loan sharks come for the vig every other week?

Canyon Denali, with the Duramax, lol. Getting tired of burning 30 - 35 gallons of fuel a week, just going to work. 275 miles to a tank, around town/to and from work... Fuel is expensive here, lol

And biweekly is easier on the wallet, and has a couple extra payments a year vs. monthly, lol.

If you want fuel economy, get a Cruze diesel! (They've brought 'em back for 2018, at least in the US.) :jester:  They're claiming about 50 mpg on the road in those.

More seriously, though...

For less money than the Canyon Denali, you could get a Silverado double cab with the 5.3. No, the fuel economy isn't as high as the Canyon Diesel, but I'm getting over 400 miles per tank out of my 24-25 gallon fill-ups. Most of that is in-town on freeways.

At least down here, regular unleaded is a good bit cheaper than diesel. Yeah, the Canyon diesel claims it'll get 30 on the road, but do you REALLY think you'll get that much? (True, you probably wouldn't get the 17 or so I get out of my Silvy around town, either.)

Cruze won't pull the trailer for the short trips I need to move it, until I sell it, lol. I already sold my ATV so I'm not towing 10k lbs anymore.

A Denali half-ton is 10k more than the Canyon, after incentives/deals... I'm not giving up my cooled seats, lol.

Regular gasoline is $4/US gallon up here. Diesel is a little bit more during the winter months...

From what I've been able to find, people are getting 28 - 32MPG hand calculated... So I figure on 25 - 28 it which is more than twice what I'm getting now, lol.

Yes, I could get a half-ton, with less options for cheaper... But I like my options, lol. Even finding a 2016 still on the lot, is more expensive. I went digging before I settled on it, lol.

Why the extreme? You can get a 2500 diesel and make it get 28 mpg. Those Canyons are cute, but they cost way too much
