Just for chits and giggles, I prices out a new 2018 Equinox and a Terrain. They both are coming in a diesel later this fall. The Equinox didn't have the option on the web site but the GMC did, go figure.
Equinox optioned out how we wanted it was $31,898 the Terrain with a diesel was $39,560.

Pricing on new vehicles is just plain gone crazy!

I got picked up by an Uber driver in a GMC Acadia and it had very little room in the back for cargo.

I've always wanted a truck so I will lease this one out and may later decide on a Silverado (if it is needed). But the cost of gas is also my main concern if I were to buy a Silverado.

I love the color of the Colorado though.

It's an optical illusion with the acadia storage...they actually have more storage room than a full-size Tahoe.

It's bigger than our Tahoe. Seats down, and it is big. We keep our seat down, and the dogs ride back there :D

If fuel economy is a concern, think about this another way.

The Silvy comes with a bigger engine that won't have to be pushed as hard as the V6 or 4 cylinder in the Colorado/Canyon, so that "2 mpg difference" may not be as big as you think it will be. :dunno:

The Sily is also bigger and more roomy than the Colorado / Canyon.

When I bought my Silverado, I was dead set on a Colorado / Canyon. But, after doing some decent comparisons (driving both a few times each), the Silverado ended up being the better value *for me*.

Good luck!

Yes the back is larger than a Tahoe. I can speak from experience when we had our 2011 Acadia. Our daughters wheel chair can fit behind the third row seat when it is up but it wouldn't fit in the back of the Tahoe. Now remember there are two different versions of the Acadia now. You might have been in the smaller version.
