This car is sweet. I had a '69, but was under powered to what this one has. Mine had a 440 police interceptor in it and it would fly. I could only imagine driving this beauty.

Coolest Dad Ever Builds 10-Second Coronet For Son?s Prom!
If I had something with that kind of power when I was a kid I would be dead now....:ohnoes:
I was 20 when I had mine and I had a '68 Roadrunner at 18. I count my lucky stars that I'm sitting here.

I had a pretty quick small block Falcon when I was 18. And my Dad had a 2 door Mercury with a 428 that was pretty damn fast.

I had a '70 Mercury Marquis with a 429 right before I got the Roadrunner. I have to admit, that 429 was a beast.

I friend of mine had a 440 out of a cop car that we dropped into a Belvedere. That was a fast car.

I'd love to have that Coronet back. I think it was my favorite car. I liked the Roadrunner, but the power from that Coronet was just unbelievable. Those police interceptors were some bad ass engines back in the day. The 383 magnum I had in the Roadrunner was quick, but I don't think it'd compare to the Coronet.

The older cars were fun, but todays engines a have a lot more ponies.
