The regular hauler had gone to Atlanta, the car wasn't ready so they were bringing it in the smaller trailer.

The car turned up about 20 miles form where it was stolen. I guess the thieves opened the trailer, figured out it would be hard to sell a Sprint Cup car and dumped it. Trailer and spare parts is still missing.Travis Kvapil's stolen Team Xtreme race car found by police | FOX Sports

This happened a mile and a half from where I work. The car was discovered in Gwinnett county on the side of the road. I know the reports I've read online are saying about 20 miles, but Gwinnett is further than that from Morrow. They also found the Super Duty on the side of the road with the door handle busted along with a busted ignition switch. It was found about 10 miles from where it was stolen. South from where the car was found. I guess once the news hit their asses realized they'd better dump it all quick. Funny how the two were so far apart. Makes me wonder if the trailer is going to turn up in the opposite direction

Sadly there's been a rash of work trucks along with their trailers stolen in the area here in the past year. Guess this thieving bastards saw a truck and enclosed trailer and figured what the hell, let's grab it!
