Had a new muffler put on it, an 18" glass pack. It sounds great, probably a little louder than my white Hemi with the same setup.

Had to pick up two pallets of 24 count carton Cukes from one of our farms and deliver it to a customer. I couldn't hall both at the same time since they are around 2,200lbs a pallet. So I had to make two trips.

Looks like I still had some room to play with, about an inch or so from the bump stop.

Drove it through a massive puddle on the shoulder of the road, trying to get around stalled traffic so I could turn right at the corner and wiped out the alternator... or so I thought. Right after I did it (with water spraying pretty high), all my electronics in the cab went haywire and I quickly started shutting things off and checking gauges. Battery idiot light was doing a samba rhythm and I watched my voltage gauge slowly climb until it was against the stop. And I had nowhere to pull off the road at that point. I had to continue down the road about a mile before I got to a church lot I could pull off in. Alternator was soaked (whole engine bay was dripping) but I needed to get to a doctor's appointment, so I called the wife to come take me there. I considered pulling the alternator while I waited for her, so we could go exchange it after my appointment (lifetime warranty) but didn't want to get all dirty before the appointment. After the doc visit she took me back to the truck and, just to check, I started it up. Voltage stayed normal so I'm assuming the engine heat dried out everything and it should be fine from now on, but I'll keep an eye on it and order a new fender liner (missing) for that side to help keep spray out of there.

Tried to buy the splash guard for the inside of that fender (it was missing) and Rock Auto had it for about $25.00

And $83.00 for the fwonking shipping... I am so done with Rock Auto. I know they're forum sponsors, and I'm trying to throw some business their way as a thank you for that, but their shipping is so over the top unfwonkingbelieveable I just can't justify it. $83.00+ to ship a damn piece of rubber that can be rolled up and shoved in an envelope? No fwonking way.

I understand the frustration, but you have made this point more than a few times recently. You can stop beating the horse.... it is plenty dead. :D2

So? I'm not supposed to post about it when it happens again, with a different part?

Maybe if they used horses for their deliveries the price would be cheaper.

In the Squirrel's defense, that's the first time I've heard of this issue. The horse was still hobbling around saying "It's but a flesh wound!" ;)
