Well I finally got it painted today. Been working on momma's 65 fury getting it in to a roller. But this last week I've been sanding on the ol GMC to get it painted before the car show this next month. I still need to paint the top of the cab with the cast grey but at least it's all blitz black now.
It's a long way from on the road. Has no motor or tranny in it. We still need to put motor back together. It's bored 30 but has been apart for 40 years. It's a 383 bb. We have to other for parts. Her father found the original 4speed about 2 weeks ago. It needs new case and 3-4 shift fork and 3-4 shift rod. It still has the factory hurst shifter knob and all. When this one hits the road for the first time it we'll be done and done right. I hope. May be a few years but it will be worth the wait. Mopars are expensive. And the is basically a one year only C body and no one makes parts. If I'm missing it I'll have to find good used.
Over a few years we should have it done I hope. Her dad just love coming over a seeing just how much I've got done on his ol fury. Like I said its been apart for 40 plus years. Plan is when it's all done to be red with black painted or vinyl top, and a black interior. I've got some old ET 5 spokes I pick up from a buddy for $40. Think they will look great on there.
