If you are friends with me on facebook I am sure you know already... If not, here's the poop.

Well, kind of a long story but I guess we got the itch for a new truck. Basically, we sold the 2011 and having half of the sale as equity in the old truck we were able to take that money and reset to a new loan with only adding a year to pay off and we were able to pay cash for the bed and lift/hoist that we wanted. There was nothing wrong with the old truck and it only had 42k miles on it. We did however look at the aspect that we will be going from a LGH Duramax to a LML Duramax. The fuel mileage isn't the greatest on the LGH and the additional power from the factory is a plus. Surprising like the new truck gets better fuel mileage by 1-2 mpg and that's with a cab over on the dump bed that the other truck did not have and wheel barrels sitting there.

A couple other benefits with the new truck is the power option or convenience package it has. We added power door locks and windows, along with turn signal/ heated mirrors. We upgraded the hoist from a 5 ton on the old truck to a 7.5 ton. Not only did this lift come with the same wired remote but we also upgraded to wireless control on the dump. We have one wireless remote that we keep in the cab and 2 key fobs...

Anyways here is the pictures of the build...

The old truck. Once we removed the decal that covered the majority of the door, it still looked new. Thinking about doing more of a wrap with this new truck on the entire door, somehow.

The new truck, sorry for the crappy snapchat photo. It's being pulled by my brothers new 2500hd Duramax. We got trade in bonus cash for trading one of the 300GT's we put a engine in. We got more in trade then what we could have sold it for!

Picked up the steel with Earl, that might be another story that y'all don't know about it. Did some trading for this 96 Silverado. We were told that it hasn't been started in 5 years. We pushed it into the trailer, spent a hour trying to push it into my brother shop with no bobcats around... For giggles we wanted to hear it crank to dissolve whatever issue it might have had, it started right up... Anyways, Earl has almost 400k miles on the clock...

This is what we had with the old truck... Minus the fact that we made "wooden" sides on the old truck, that was supposed to be temporary on the 2011...

We can actually get 5 more yards in this bed and pallets of sod stacked side by side...

Some nice work Brian. :)

That bed looks heavy, what is the weight capacity of the lift?
The lift will do 15k lbs but the most I've put in the old truck is 9-10k lbs.

Thanks guys.

I got to post photos up of the rear hitch and bumper.
