Way to go Harvick!
I had completely forgot about this race being on last night and didn't watch it. :(

Yeah, it's too bad you didn't pay attention to any of the posts REMINDING PEOPLE that it was a Saturday night race! :jester:
I remembered to do my picks. I was watching tv with the wife last night and just completely forgot about it being on. It seems like I always miss the good ones.

Hrmmmm.. Maybe they know you're not watching, so they run better? Maybe you should quit watching?? :dunno: :jester:

Actually, I didn't get to watch the whole race. I met up with a buddy for a while, then came back home and watched the last 30 or so laps. I was glad to see Tony somehow made up a bunch of spots there towards the end , especially with my Truex Jr pick doing so badly last night..

Thanks to Bowyer for wrecking Kurt Busch, and making him my worst finish in the race. I can't use Kenseth anymore in this segment. I had Harvick as my captain. I had a feeling he'd do well from the pole.

Yeah, I have a few drivers that I'm saving for some particular races, later in this segment. I think Tony is the only one I've "used up" so far.

I will probably use Kevin in Richmond, which I think will by my last time to be able to use him. Same goes for Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman (if I stick with those picks).

Based on the #'s I'm looking at, hardly anyone ever "averages" a good finish at Talladega or Charlotte. So, I'm not sure who I'm going to go with on those. :dunno:

I can use him in one more race as well. I think that four race per driver is the only thing I hate about this fantasy crap.

Yeah, I thought it was 5 picks per driver for the first couple of races. Then, I realized I had made some bad choices!

It's making me look ahead more than I have in years past. But, it's kind of interesting (for me) to look at the races, come up with several I "could" go with and then whittle that down to my 5 guys for that race. Each week, I seem to come up with a slightly different way of picking.

I don't put much effort into it. I look at the drivers and try to remember from past races how they did and more or less guess. So far, that strategy is working somewhat. I just haven't been following NASCAR like I did in the past. :dunno:

I follow a couple of drivers on Twitter, but that doesn't usually play into my picks. I did download some stats and I've been making projections based on that. So far, that hasn't netted me any weekly wins. But, it seems to be doing ok for me, overall.

To you, it probably sounds like a "bunch of work." To me, it's kind of a mental exercise that doesn't involve work.
