• Project truck created to gauge consumer interest in a next-generation Frontier with a Cummins diesel engine

• Concept builds upon Nissan's long heritage in innovative pickup trucks

• Powered by a 2.8-liter Cummins turbo diesel with nearly 200 horsepower, more than 350 lb-ft of torque
• Estimated fuel economy increases 35 percent over current Frontier V6

Those frontiers have always been attractive but I've always hated how "compact" they were on the inside....

I know, I know...

I liked my Frontier and would buy a diesel one in a minute...except I could probably buy a fullsize Ram EcoDiesel for the same price. :dunno:

Not a fan of the Frontier front end.

Can't promise it'll look better but my guess is this concept is to gauge interest and would more likely be in the next body style than this one.

Spending several hours in the Nissan dealership when we bought my wife's new Altima last month, I was talking with some of the salesmen about the Nissan trucks. They were all telling me that I should wait until the 2015 models come out (even though I mentioned that I love be Chevy trucks  ) They were telling me that the Titan, Armada, and Frontier will all be completely redesigned for the 2015 model year, hopefully by late summer/ early fall 2014. They were going on and on about a Cummins diesel Titan supposed to be like a 3/4 ton truck that will be available for 2015. :dunno:
They said the Maxima will also be redesigned for 2015. I mentioned hearing about a diesel Frontier on the inter webs, and they said that the only diesel engine they are aware of (so far at least on US models) is on the Titans.
