Went out the other day and my Gauges were all dead except for lights on ABS, Battery, and CEL. Door locks dont work, windows wont roll up or down, radio stays on and now the battery is dead. It was driveable even though the gauges were screwed the other day until i left it sitting over night and came out and the battery just clicked. :dunno:

I read some where that it might be a wiring harness under the seat maybe? Havnt had the chance to check fuses yet but I doubt multiple fuses would pop all at once unless i have a huge short (SOMEWHERE). Where would be the best place to look?

Scotty has experience with this issue I'm pretty sure. He'll chime in.

What is the condition of the battery? Is the alternator charging properly?

Brand new battery as of last year, alternator is about 2 years old. So far when its running everything is staying charged up.

I did go out just a min ago and took the dash apart and turned the key on to accessory and heard a faint "hum" under the dash somewhere then tapped the brake and it went away... battery is still dead

Guess the next thing is to make sure the battery is charged. With the key off, look for the obvious, left on interior lights, radio, cluster, etc. Check to see if the brake lights get stuck on too.

The BCM(Body Control Module) could be bad leaving the RAP(Retained Accessory Module) on for the radio or other accessories.

I've seen batteries go bad in a short amount of time. Not likely but it happens. Might want to get it checked out. Have it load tested.

This may sound stupid, but I have seen glove box light drain the battery.

I did notice my radio was staying on, but its not so much the problem with parasitic draw im concerned about right now, its the door locks, windows, guage cluster, interior lights not working even when im running the engine. Loads on the battery were normal until i lost all power to the cab and could see it on the gauge.

How would i check to see if the BCM is working right?

Ooh I see now. Check the fuses on the side fuse panel on the dash. Look for the ones labeled TBC. There are a few. Those are the fuses for the BCM. They will be circuits for the interior lights, locks, etc. This is probably your problem.

If you had to test the BCM you'll need a tech2. Unlikely you will find one besides the dealership.
