Agreed. i haven't watched NASCAR for a long time, but that number absolutely should have been retired. This is a gigantic fail.

I don't agree with retiring numbers in Nascar, but I would have liked to see Jr. drive the 3 rather than someone else.

That's NO WAY to treat the #3.

I would love to see the #3 driven on the track just in remembrance of Dale Sr. but never in the hands of another race car driver during a race.


If Jr. was half the racer, Sr. was then I would be OK with Jr. racing his car. Now it should only be on the track as a memorial.
