I see two problems with this. either some idiot is going to lift the truck and sue tesla for the range going down or people being run over because someone lifted the truck and they walked in front of it because they couldn't hear the truck. Those fires were far from spontaneous fires though. One ran over something, one hit a tree and one ran through a wall, from what I understand. Certainly, some precautions can be taken but, come on. Every car is susceptible to severe damage when put in those types of scenarios.

I'm not saying I want an electric car, but Tesla is at least doing it right, IMO.
