Should Bowyer be booted from the chase?

So, as long as NASCAR could concoct a reason to penalize him, you're happy? :jester:

Ridiculous.

MWR manipulated the Gordon/Logano battle just as much, if not more than Newman. To reward Newman, but screw Gordon and Truex while not effectively punishing Bowyer or Vickers is absurd.

I think the punishment is in the right place. Management told them to do it, so punish management more severely. Since NASCAR resets the points for the Chase drivers and Bowyer didn't have any wins, what they did could barely even be called a slap on the wrist to Bowyer and his current standings, going into the Chase.

As for Logano..... I kind of agree with you. But, Kes (Joey's only other teammate on the track at Richmond) finished ahead of him. So, Penske obviously didn't "try" to play games to get Joey in. He was just a lucky beneficiary of what MRW told Bowyer and Vickers to do..

Here goes NASCAR again. This is why they are losing ratings and fans. Changing this 2 days later is BS. This is why I haven't watched a full race all season... Losing my interest hardcore.

They usually announce penalties on Tuesdays, two days after the race ends. So, it's not surprising that they waited and followed their normal processes of reviewing the recordings and whatever-else-they-did...

It shouldn't have taken them two days to come up with a sorry excuse like this, though, just to appease The Jiminator... :jester:

The only reason I have tried to keep up with it in the last few years has been for our picks. I'm not sure I'll even bother with that next year.

I was mainly just poking at you guys with the "chicken shit move" bit. (As Mikey knows)

 With practically half the season airing on cable, I'm losing interest myself. The "Racebuddy" stuff they've been doing wasn't too bad. But, they recently took away the in-car audio. So, all you hear is the engine revving up and down. No talk with the pit crew, etc.. So, I "may" watch the Charlotte race this year (it will be on ABC). But, that will probably be the only one I see the rest of the year.. :dunno:
