Looking forward to a nice detailed "DIY" thread.

Hahaha only finshed results. Friend of mine is taking care of it. Ive hooked him up with parts on his projects.. and he could use the work. Couple hundred bucks saves me pulling it, rebuild and put back in... im ok with that hahah. It is funny tho... I just recertified my ASE's.... and one was automatic transmissions.. hahaha.

Update!

Transmission is done and shifting great. The rear end, we went ahead and replaced all the bearings.. as the pinion bearing was all ate up. While in there, replace the rear main seal, tail shaft seal, all new bearings and seals in the rear end, axle seals, and new wheel cylinders.

THe front end is apart right now, going over what we need. Truck is gonna be reliable as heck once shes all back together! Hope to have her driving again by Saturday night!

Good job! If everybody actually fixed whatever was wrong with their used truck when they bought it, they would get years of use out of them. Most people just buy em and limp along until they die.
