I kinda like it on the truck....
A little color contrast strip between all the red on the front end and the windshield...
And it creates a RED FRAME for the black grill that isn't there without the bug shield..

That's the reason I put it on there, Jim.

In all honesty, I noticed that the mounting hardware was broken on the driver's side. Instead of fixing, I pulled it off because of all the pollen and dirt behind it. I cleaned it up, and started to put it back on, but decided to try it without it.

You're right though, there is quite a bit of red, but I am liking how it flows together......for now.

I think it looks better without it.
I too used to have a bug guard. But after noticing a small crack in the corner I removed it and have never replaced it. I like my truck better without it, however I miss the fact that it actually kept bugs off the hood during long road trips. But I still got bugs all over the grill and windshield anyway, so I guess its not that much more to clean off.

I had one on my GMC, it didn't keep the bugs off and it lifted the wipers off the windshield. Not good when they are needed.

Mine did actually keep bugs off of the hood, but the bugs still stuck EVERYWHERE else.

I like the look with the shield on.
although, it is hard to keep the hood clean underneath.
for me the shield helps protect the hood also.
