From the article I'm pretty sure the gmc would have came in #1 if the 6.2 would have been available. The dodge and ford had their highest hp engine options.

Good point.

The Ford does have a 6.2L option that has 411 HP and 434 lb.-ft.

Can you get it in a regular F-150?

I knew they had it in the raptor.

Sure can.

Did not know that:thumbs:

Made me wonder why they did not pick it. Ford is extremely proud of that engine and you can't get it to meet the parameters they set in this article.

Makes me wonder what GM is going to price the 6.2 at. Currently it's an $900-1000 option.

I didn't know Ford's 6.2 came in the regular F-150 either. Good info.

Based on the price of the 5.3, my guess is the 6.2 upgrade will be similar in pricing. The 6.2 for the Sierria/Silverado isn't available until this fall, right?

I work for Dodge and see them everyday, and I still would not buy a new Ram. I just do not like the looks of them.

That's what the word is. Somewhere around October.

It doesn't look like Ford is really pushing the 6.2 much. I'm guessing they really want to get behind their flagship Ecoboost. The 6.2 is available, but in very limited trim combos. It doesn't appear to be an option in any of the upper level trims. If you get an XLT its a $4600 option. Versus something like $1600 for the ecoboost.

Like I said earlier. All and all it looks like a WIN no matter which you go with.
