I'm curious to see what he says. I can't think of a functional reason why they have square openings for round wheels. My money is on some crackhead thinking it makes the design look better. The good news for GM is probably 90% of their customers could careless.

GM has used squarish wheel openings ever since the 73 up body style. It has been a styling cue for a long time. Most were somewhat rounded though. These are simply ugly and square to the extreme.
