I agree. Not a bad looking truck until you get to the wheel openings.

I'm going to touch base with my fraternity brother that works for the GM design group in Detroit and ask him WTF?

He's fairly high up the ladder; maybe he'll actually be able to get a real answer.

I'm curious to see what he says. I can't think of a functional reason why they have square openings for round wheels. My money is on some crackhead thinking it makes the design look better. The good news for GM is probably 90% of their customers could careless. :lol:

GM has used squarish wheel openings ever since the 73 up body style. It has been a styling cue for a long time. Most were somewhat rounded though. These are simply ugly and square to the extreme.
