Just got a price back from everyone's favorite parts guy and it's looking like I'll be going with aftermarket flares.... $850.00 for six pieces of plastic.

Try to find some used, I think I have $300 into my flares. The aftermarket ones just don't look quite right.

You could even find the textured ones, sand them a bit, and hit them with filler primer then paint them to match. My buddy did that and you can't even tell that they weren't always smooth.

Yeah, Rich is getting the part numbers for me so I can keep an eye out for them elsewhere. I'm going to check some yards in the area as well.

The issue with the aftermarkets is that the rears are split up differently, IMO. There are knock-offs on eBay, I'm just really concerned about the quality. Haven't been able to find any real reviews of them.

I'm sure as hell not paying 8-fiddy.

I've seen a few painted sets on Ebay from time to time. Gonna have to paint them anyway.

The BFG is getting long in tooth design wise. Great tire but there are some other good choices now that didn't exist back when I had that truck.

There is no tire that looks better on a GMT400, that's for sure.
Mine back in 1995.

Minor Update.

I found a set of rear flares, in white, NIB, for $150 shipped and I think I've located a set of white fronts for even a little less.

Once the flares are confirmed, I'll get the wheels and tires ordered.

Toyo open country, Nitto TG, or Trail Grapplers?

Leaning towards MT Baja ATZ.

Had Toyos in the past and wasn't overwhelmed with them.

Trail Grapplers might be a little more aggressive than I need but they are in contention. They are a god looking tire.

Terra Grapplers... I just never could get with the looks there.
