A couple of years ago I thought dragging was the most ridiculous thing out there. The more I've been around the scene the more it's grown on me. I'll admit to being involved in a few late night drag sessions throwing sparks on the freeway at 70 mph.

The first few times the frame hit the pavement and you feel every bump will certainly get your ass to puckering. :ohnoes:

Then looking in the mirror at all the sparks makes it fun.

So . . . people are TRYING to make it do that? :wtf:

That is so fucking stupid. What do you do after 100 miles and your frame is worn away?

Not really up on the dragging frame thing but usually they put drag blocks or something mounted to the frame that wears away instead of the actual frame. Then you can just replace those.

That's where the drag blocks come in - Titanium blocks that scrape the ground rather than having the frame do it. Some guys even use hitch balls. Any piece of strong metal that can take the abuse rather than the frame will work.

EDIT: Yeah, what Carl said.

Titanium drag blocks are going to get installed on this Hummer, just not installed yet. All the dragging was on the frame and rockers.

Blocks are not cheap so some guys use the trailer hitch balls instead. The sparks are much cooler at night from titanium though.:D

Yeah, frame rails have been ground through, A arms, fuel cells and crossmembers. You name it, if it's low enough it's not immune from the grind. Yeah it's a little hard to comprehend that people do this but it's no different than other extreme shit that we pay money to see. Most of these guys will just jack it up and weld in new metal and drag on.
