The fancy AWD/Traction control in that VW is pretty nice, there was definitely a lack of wheelspin on the VW
(compared to the Dirtymax)

I know Vee Dub is excellent at diesels I was just going with torque and displacement. 6.6>>5.0. The fancy AWD vs an on or off 4x4 probably helped a lot as did the street vs mud tires.

The VW is around 100 ft/lbs shy of the Dirtmax, IIRC
