I don't think it will be as much as a priority since this motor was designed by Ford and not by Navistar that was notorious for egr issues.

It's not just about reliability issues, it's also about fuel savings. It's usual to get from 5 to 10% better fuel economy without the EGR.

Thanks guys, the service manager told me that the def tank is lasting a little longer than an oil change, 7500 miles. So most guys have it topped off when they get it serviced.

Sent from my pocket.
isnt there a way to completely delete that system with a tuner/programmer?

Yes, shops are doing it all the time. I already have the offer from a friend to do it for cost of parts.

Thanks, yes it all came down to comfort. The Powerstroke isn't as responsive as the Duramax, going by the seat of the pants dyno.

My buddies all lined up last night and had a drag race after our weekly wallyball outing. Brand new Powerstroke lost hard to two fully loaded Hemi's. I was surprised.

What are you waiting for? Do it or you're leading the way to the pussification of America. Remember to also delete the EGR.

Nice truck Bigredmariner!!

Are those 20" wheels? thus a 3:55 gears?

Just to let you know 35" fit my truck and stock wheels just fine.
then when I had the money I was able to lift and wheel my truck.

Me ! I had to do the tires right off!

As far as Messing with the engine????..If I am seeing right, some people hurried into adding HP by doing the deletes and bigger turbos along with programmers. then sucked Valves or toasted the motor w/no wty. I believe they weren't getting there trucks set up right. Me I am not touching my motor yet. Me.... I want to see some real success with Modding the motor.
So for now I am just working on the looks.... adding my touch. and setting my truck up to off road once and a while with my friends.

Back to your truck  These trucks tow so nice! Plenty of power! Enjoy! I've got 11,000 happy miles so far.
