I'm at a wall right now on what to get since I sold the impala. I thought I wanted a new Camaro 2SS/RS but after looking and driving the new Mustang GT 5.0 I'm not so sure on the Camaro.

At first I was going to get a Jeep Wrangler, this started before I sold the impala. I figured I could get the 4 door Jeep Wrangler, put a nice lift and set of 35's on it and we could go out as a family and hit some trails and maybe even camp out on the nice weekends in the spring and fall. Heck even in the winter the way the weather has been lately. But then I drove a friends 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 with the six sp. I couldn't get over the power that it had. It sure was fun to drive.

Being a GM fanboy, a Camaro was on my list, been looking and building on the web sites. But then for shits and giggles I built a Mustang up and it turns out to be less expensive by about a grand than the Camaro and it even has more features on it that come standard. So now I'm at a wall as to what to get.

I also considered a CTS-V but a used 6sp of course, 2009 or newer since they have the 550hp 6.2l in them. I figured I can get my performance but then the family can all ride along as well and we can even fit Hunters wheel chair in the trunk. But finding one for under 50k is pretty much out. What I don't get is I found a few and all of them have either 6k or 14k or 18k on them, very low mileage. What is it with that? Do people buy them not realizing the power and get scared and turn them back in?

I even thought about a new truck but, that is out due to what I want is the cost of a CTS-V as well and then I loose my fun to drive vehicle.

Decisions, decisions!

Oh and would I get a better deal waiting until Dec 31st to buy, seeing it is at the end of the month and year?

That's a tough one. You didn't like the new Camaro because you feel like the new 5.0 is faster? I would guess the interior sucks and the rear visibility isn't the greatest but I like the look better than the new stangs.

I don't feel the Mustang is faster, just that for the $$$ you get more features on the Mustang than you do on the Camaro.

I liked the old style Mustangs a lot better than the new ones now. I am sure if you went back and forth with the dealers the Camaro would easily come down. I am not well versed on these muscle cars but I don't understand how the features can be that much more significant over the Camaro.

In my opinion the Camaro looks the best over the two. The Challenger for looks would be my vote if looks were the key factor here...

The new Chargers are sick as crap!

Little things like, illuminated footwell and cup holder, extras in their version of GM's DIC, like, trap times, G force, MyKey which is cool, you can set it up so that the kid can't go but so fast and listen to music but to the volume you set it when they use that key to drive the vehicle, I guess this would be good to use for the wife as well, keep her in check.

 Sounds like rice upgrades to me! :jester:

Don't know if I would care much for the performance and music limitation options for a car I was looking for myself.

I am surprised that the cup holders aren't illuminated like they are on most other GM vehicles, well at least I know they are on the Nox!

And for me, I don't need lights to find the gas peddle. My foot knows where it is and knows what to do to it! :jester:

Price aside, which car do you LIKE better, the Camaro or the Mustang?
