I really want to keep my truck until 200k or more. Im sick of payments and just want to keep this truck for a long time.

I havent been driving it as much lately due to getting a company truck so its gonna be a while now unlike the past few years where I was putting 15-20k on it a year. Its at 117k right now.

I'm not to 200k yet, but I will get there sooner or later, because I ain't trading or selling my Burn any time soon. Its paid for, it runs great, and I just had the transmission rebuilt. :D

Both of my vehicles I've purchased with 140k+ on them, and both are still going strong (the truck at ~210k, and the Miata at ~155k).

My Dad's Civic has about 310,000 on it, and he's had the car since it was new. Only basic maintenance. My Mom's Subaru Outback is around 130,000 and feels almost like a new car. I see no reason why it won't make it to 200k.

EDIT: And the 4.8L that came out of my truck at 192000 was in great shape, still had crosshatching on the cylinder walls. I don't doubt that it would have kept running indefinitely.

Welcome to :tmc:

Throw that 4.8 in the Miata.

I drive my trucks forever. That is of course unless something else comes along, or I t-bone a white caddy. My current truck just rolled over 119K. I'll probably drive it til it falls apart.
