Anyone else completely disappointed in the storage offered by your GMT900?

I have an LTZ so I'm probably screwed a little more than most (my SLE Sierra had a bit more storage) but the amount of storage in this thing is a joke. The center console has a little space available in the large arm rest section but that's about it. The flip-up glasses and cup holder area aren't much help either.

I've considered going with an LT/SLE style insert in the cup holder area but I can't imagine the black plastic would look right. It's just a bit irritating.

Then, there's the traditional lack of storage for things such as ball mounts, jumper cables, emergency tools, first-aid kits, bone saws, bleach, morning-after pills, etc.

So, point is, I decided to solve my problem.

Pelican 1650 with a lid organizer.

Interior Dimensions (inches): 28.50 x 17.37 x 10.50

I was hoping they'd have it in silver but very few of their large boxes come in anything other than black, yellow, or olive drab.

Anyway, I'll update this once I get the box loaded up and in the Crushwagon.

Damn those are expensive for just storage in your truck.

But will be a good solution I'm sure. I love their products

I wanted something with some weight to keep it from sliding around and I just like the build quality of Pelican's stuff. It'll never break and I'll never have to replace it.

After I got the bed cover for my Sierra, I would use recycle bins to load up with emergency supplies and I would bungee them to the hooks on the inside of the bed, near the tailgate, to keep them from sliding around. Admittedly, I pretty much only did that for road trips. But, that was much cheaper than some of the other alternatives I had looked at, like an under-the-rails sliding tool box or the like.

Quite a bit of that stuff is now under the back storage area of the Outback and I use one of the recycle containers on road trips to carry the rest of it..

Admittedly, it's not as nice a Pelican, but it works for me..

If mine were out of sight, I'd have gone cheaper as well but I also wanted it to look nice, on top of my reasoning above.

Yep, I bitched about it long ago, and bought the DuHa.
Solved.
