as you all know ive been building a 64 shortbed pickup. well this weekend i bought the metal i needed for the floor in the bed, it 14gage sheet metal one piece is 6'x4' and the other is 6'x2'6". i got it all ruff cut and set in all i need to do is make the fillers to go around the filler neck and around the corners of the wheel tubs. all i had to cut everything out with is a sawsall. so it was easyer to make straight cuts. but to make the pieces i need i think ill use the torch at work or ill bring home my cutoff wheel.

well anyway here are a few pics for ya! enjoy!!:D

let me know what yall think

That's going to be a tough bed. Gonna paint it or line it?

Nothing wrong with that. You can always grind and smooth the welds. Good work so far!

not yet i got all the top of the floor welded to day. and had to go help move stuff:quote: out of my gf gmpas house to take to the dump. so tomarrow ill crawl under it and do some tacks and then remove the bed and weld it up so it wont rattle around and make unwanted noise. and while the beds off ill get the fuel lins made and get them attached to the frame. then its time to staighten the bed sides and get primer on them then ill do the hood and tail gate. and i hope by then my dad will have the motor and trans ready:fingersx:
