I`ve only been pondering the idea of getting new wheels and tires for 2-3 years and am back at thinking about it again.

currently looking at these ULTRA GRINDERS

at customwheelsdirect.com they are for sale for $135 a wheel (18x9) but also require nuts, stems and key, which they sell for $85 tire :confused:
in town here i can get this stuff for $30 wheel, so i`m not sure why they are so much. :dunno:

anyways I will be calling them about them but i have a question about what tire size will fit. I`m currently running 265/75R16s and due to my running boards can`t fit much bigger i don`t think.

was thinking probly 275/60 R18s? i really dunno which is going to work out the same dimensionally. :dunno:

any ideas?

okay talked to don, he said $935.00 shipped (plus whatever rediculouos canadian taxes, dutyies, etc.), with nutz stems and key. so it comes out to 233.75/wheel, I asked it without stems, nutz and he said the total only changes $40 bucks. :wtf:

gonna check out some other joints i think.

in town here they qouted me 240/wheel then $112 for wheel nuts. so about $1072 total, not much more, and it may be easy to get warranty that route to actually have a reciept saying i purcheased the wheels from them. :dunno:

i can probly get nutz cheaper through a friend, and i will mount and ballance myself.

Dan.

Not everybody wants their truck to look like everybody else's.

Those wheels are very unique but somehow look like something 80s to me. Not a bad thing, just an observation. I do like the fact that they are not like everything you see...

It gets harder and harder to find wheels when you have 8 lugs. I think those would look good on a white or black truck myself. They have a bit of a formal look to me rather than being something "sporty". Sporty doesn't work all that well on a 3/4 ton truck in my opinion.

exactly, and i figure straight chrome/alluminum with no black wouldn`t go well on my truck IMO. I don`t have much shiny stuff. :D just white and black

I'm on the road today. When I get home tonight I'll look around for some too.
