WOW! No Smoke Show

I did a Seafoam treatment on the old truck yesterday, and was all prepared for this wild smoke show, but no smoke. It sure as hell stunk though. I followed the directions on the can. Oh well, it does seem to have more response now. I'll be changing the distributor gear, and changing the oil today. That gear must be made of gold. The sob was $64 at the dealer. None of the parts stores had any in stock, and couldn't get me one until Monday. The damn serpentine belts went up in price to. I almost neglected the belt. I'm glad I checked it, cause it was showing it's 50K age. I didn't realize I hadn't changed it in 3 yrs.

The seafoam can instructions don't normally result in the smoke show

To get the smoke show you need to follow the GM Top Cleaner instructions (basically the same stuff, lol)

Which involve slowly pouring in everything but the last 1/3rd of the can, making sure the engine stays running, then dump the last 1/3rd in all at once, making the engine stall out..

Let sit for 20 minutes or so, then fire it up, and drive it like ya stole it until the white smoke disappears.

Fwonk, I wish I'd have known that. I did use a little more than 1/2 the can in the vacuum line. The damn thing didn't stall out, I had to shut it off.

You've got a 350, right? just pop the air hose/air cleaner off

I just did what it said to do on the can. I could tell a difference when I drove it. I'm going to have a busy day working on the pig. I'm trying to get it ready to go up to Michigan tomorrow. I'm siding a house up there.
