According to VIN decoding, my truck has the heavy duty wiring harnes for the trailer... Which, I found the brake wire, but am so far unable to find the wire for connecting +12 volts to the trailer connection... I haven't seen it under the fuse box, like the instructions tell me it is...

Has anybody else fished this wire out? Is it further down?

Or will I have to pull the trailer plug to see if the wire is there? :dunno:

Mine was under the fusebox, but taped up along another wire bundle/harness. It was a pain to find it, but what finally gave it away was the ring terminal on the end of the wire. Maybe yours is taped up? :dunno:

Mine was either in between the fuse box and the fender taped up, or else it was taped to the master cylinder. I don't remember which was which.

I could reach my hand down in there and grab mine to get the wire out to connect it. Remember you also need to install the fuse for it to work.

The fuse is already there... It connects to the same power post that the brake controller gets it's power from...

If I find it, I'll be adding a relay to it, so it's only giving power when the truck is on
