If you have a 64 bit system you can run Super Anti Spyware.

Fire Fox has a browser their testing out too that you can download and run. I was running Kaspersky at the time and it ran slow as hell so I deleted it. I'm going to try it out again soon now that things are smooth.

    Agreed.
I'm running the corporate version of Symantec anti-virus ONLY. It's designed for Vista but it's been running on my Win7 with no problem.
The only way to get a copy of it is uh...through questionable channels.

no no, check it out, they redesigned INS2009 to be resource light and fast and it is. My laptop has not been this fast in ages...everything seems to run faster, it boots faster connects to the net faster(opens home page on first boot), I'm telling you, thats the only reason I bought it because I was tired of the sluggishness of my CA, and was tired of getting viruses with it too, so I researched for a week or two and found that INS2009 was one of the fastest and lightest footprints out there right now..

I run Symantec (norton parent company) Corporate version AV & Firewall and it doesn't interfere at all with system speed. Their stuff isn't the mem hog it once was... plus Norton is just one of the companies ike MS that everybody loves to hate without a lot of ACTUAL reason.

I just dumped Norton after several years and trust me, it WAS slowing my computer down. In fact, I thought my computer was dying because 2/3 of the time it would not shut down and I would have to "hard kill" it. I removed Norton and went with AVG and my computer runs much faster and the shut down problem went away. :dunno:

Symantec Corporate 10 is the only "Norton" product I've used that hasn't brought any pc to it's knees.

+1 Norton has been terrible. Same goes for just about any "suite" type product. AVG has been the only one I haven't heard of too many issues with.
