This is probably a easy question, but when installing a wideband afr kit do you need to install only 1 sensor in the exhaust piping or two? I have a true dual exhaust setup so would i need one sensor for each side or can one sensor monitor just one side assuming both exhaust banks are pushing out the same air/fuel mix?

IMO, I'd run a dual setup. If you do put it on as is, uses the drivers side as the #7 tend to run the leanest.

Do you have a crossover installed?

No crossover, just straight duals all the way back from the headers. If I were to run two, would the regular wideband gauges like the autometers and aem even be able to monitor two or do they just have one plug in? Would it be harmful to only monitor one side of the exhaust stream?

As far as I know....No, you'll need two gauges.

There is no harm in one,the only catch is if the 2 bank(passenger) were to run lean, you never know.

You'll be ok with one just put it in on the drivers side, like John said #7 is usually the one that will run lean.

OK cool thanks for the help. I will probably be putting in an order for something like the AEM uego wideband kit because they are one of the cheaper ones and Ive read a lot of good things about them on a bunch of other forums. It might be strange though to see a gauge from a company who became famous for making stuff for imports on a big truck though. Maybe I will cough up a little more and get a sport comp to match my other two I ordered.
