I like how you hid the amp!

I'm currently running:
> Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X791 headunit with Kenwood KCA-BT200 Bluetooth interface.
> Kicker ZX850.4 amplifier with KnuKonceptz wiring
> Diamond Audio D363.5 components in the factory door locations.
> Diamond Audio D110D2.2 subwoofer in a Subthump underseat enclosure.
> Nearly an entire roll (about 60 sq. ft.) of RAAMmat BXT sound deadening in the doors.

I'm fairly happy with it, it sounds good enough to please my ears and gets ridiculously loud with no distortion. The only thing I have planed in the near future is to add RAAMaudio Ensolite CCF sheets to the doors.

I still haven't moved the pics over: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/ind...y&req=user&user=26970&op=view_album&album=276

I have to 2 15" under the rear seat, with about 1000w on them, 7" Audiovox flip-out, and Infinity Front Door speakers, and stock rears... it sounds ok, I would like a little more out of it, but I am limited do airspace constrictions....

Nothing special---enough for me, although I have been debating upgrading.

Right now:
-Kenwood DDX512 Head Unit
-MTX Thunderform Sub (fits perfectly under back seats)
-Kenwood Amp
-Two Alpine Type-R's in front doors (disconnected rear speakers)
-Pulled out all the seats (front and rear), pulled off the back wall, pulled off door panels, pulled up all carpeting, and installed 2-3 layers of sound deadener everywhere but the roof. Made a huge difference!

I have wanted to do but I wont cause I am lazy
I won't lie, it was a PITA to rip out the seats (especially the rear) and then pull up all the carpet. It was worth it, though. The difference it made was unbelievable.

-Kenwood DDX512 Head Unit
How do you like the DDX512? I was reading reviews on the 514, which I assume is similar, seems decent.
I love it. The only reason I didn't get something more expensive is because I didn't need NAV (have a NUVI) or bluetooth, and the NAV you can buy separate for this unit.

Really the only issue I've had with it is not being able to connect my iPod Touch. I have an old 5G iPod Video hooked up right now but the iPod itself is so old and beat up it's giving me trouble.

It's funny you ask, though, because I found this last night. I'm going to try and get my iPod Touch working with it in a few days:

Sony CDX-F7715X head unit
JL audio XR650C Si 6.5" components in front doors
MRP M650 V power Alpine amp
10" Alpine type R sub
Factory rear speakers

Plannning to switch to 2 Hertz or JL W3 subs, change rear speakers and head unit, add another amp for speakers as well as upgrade sub amp(s)

I think I am going to have to ditch the sub under the seat this time.

I may go with the JL Stealth, and mount the amps on the back wall somehow. When I tried looking into this on the 1500, it didn't seem possible to flip the seats up.

I need to be able to flip the seats up, so my big ass dog cand stand back there and look out the window :D2

Flip your seats up and measure. Tell me what you think. Pretty tight
