Just an easy simple question. Would i be able to do this in my driveway or will i need to have the hub taken off in order for it to be pressed in and out? Has anyone done this to their F150s ? Its going to cost me around $100 to have someone do it for me but if i can save by going to autozone and getting a loan a tool from them and do it at home i would be more than happy too.

If you have a decent amount of experience and confidence its a fairly simple process. Plenty of videos out on it (youtube). I was gonna do it to my ranger but my mechanic did it free of charge when he installed my lift.

Yeah i installed the lift on the truck so thats not an issue. Just dont have a floor jack, big enough jack stands, or a torque wrench to use. But taking off a brake caliper and rotor is easy enough then i see people use hammers or c clamps in order to get them off and on.

Getting them out is no biggie. I've always used the lugs and a breaker bar (no air) to reinstall them. Never had any problem.

I would buy a couple of lug nuts just to use to pull the lug bolts through. Put a drop of oil on the lug bolt threads and put a few flat washers between the lug nut and the flange with a little oil between them to make it easier to pull the lug through. If you have to grind a corner of the lug off to get it to slide into the flange thats fine too.
