What do i need to do a disc brake converson

i have a 2009 sierra 1500 and it has some real shitty braking
what do i need to do a converson from mu corent drums do discs
i want to use GM parts if possible

part numbers a,links of topics and estimated cost will be helpfull

I also would like to know. I read in a magazine somewhere that you can get a SSBC aftermarket brakes rear disc upgrade, but it was 3k or something. I wouldn't go with regular GM parts. If you're gonna go, go all out! I tried bringing this up a while ago and I didn't get any help.

Dude it wouldnt be worth it.. You'd be better off holding out and getting a 14 bolt! You might even be able to get one with disc brakes!

This is something to think about since it seems you will be using it at the Dunes often...

Ok, what would it take to get a 14 bolt swapped? The HD trucks come with 14 bolts so it should be a direct replacement right?

i beleive so, you may have to do some things to the driveshaft (may have to be shortened and change u-joint style) as for park brake cables well that may be an experiment, but not impossible, and running brake lines would be too easy.

i want somthing that i can get parts after i wear somthing out...i saw a 14 FF on a 2008 sierra 2500 CC on a junk yard...

it came with disc brakes..the price was 5000 SR(1335$) and i have to give them my 10bolt

and i need to do somthing to convert it to a 6 lug

how much would that cost in total (keep in mind i will not buy any after market part cause i want to buy replacemnt parts from here)
