I got a few episodes (I forget how many now) into season 2 and just haven't had motivation to go back and finish it. I guess the first season started off with a bit of "ok, wtf is this / what are they doing," but then they pulled it together. This season seems like they're in the "we're not sure which story to interest you in, so here are some different storylines, we'll figure out what's interesting later!" boat. I just checked... I only have 2 episodes left in season 2. I guess I'll finish it off this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll be back for a season 3, though, unless I hear great things about it (IF there is even going to BE a season 3?).
Let's revive this 11 y.o. thread What are people streaming these days? Amazon Prime: In another thread I mentioned that I loved the series "Bosch". I read a few of the books his character was in. It's very good imo. "Goliath" with Billy Bob Thornton is ok. The last season out is kinda strange. I just finished the second season of the "The Boys". A different spin on super heroes. Warning second season starts getting political. Don't waste your time on the aftershow "Inside the Boys" they have it for the second season episodes. They are pretty political. If you're coming from the Left, you won't mind them. But otherwise it's not entertainment imo. I'm watching TV to get away from this political shit right now, that's why I haven't seen any NBA and only about 15 minutes of the NFL. Started watching a show called "Upload". When you die, you can have your conciousness uploaded and live forever in a virtual world. You can still communicate with the real world. They are about 30 -40 minute episode. It's fair. Not for everyone. Tried the free 30 day thing for Netflix and watched most of the "House of Cards" Did the free trial of CBS All Access. Not much there after you watch "Star Trek Picard" or the seasons of "Star Trek Discovery" Saw no reason to even consider keeping it. have actually watch a fee good movies on DVD courtesy of Redbox sending me free coupon codes. "Sicario" Day of the Soldado" Bunch of crap out there too though. Of course on regular TV not much there. Did watch "Deadliest Catch". it's kinda gettin' old isn't it? Better than watching the "bachelor" or "90 day fiancee" So let's chime in with some info
I did finally finish Man In The High Castle. I thought it was good, overall. Some draggy points, but it was good. I felt the same way about CBS All Access. Sign up every now and then for Star Trek stuff and unsubscribe when that's over. On Apple TV+, Greyhound (Tom Hanks WWII movie) was good... Long Way Around, Long Way Down, and Long Way Up are good. Of the 3, I think I like Around the best, even though its video quality was not near as good as Up. In Up, they seemed to be pushing an "agenda" more and that wears thin... Also, with Around and Down, I was able to binge them. With Up, I'm having to wait for the episodes to 'air' and it's just not interesting enough for me to remember what was going on last week.. I may wait until Long Way Up ends and go back and rewatch the whole thing. Disney's service... I signed up to watch The Mandalorian and to rewatch all the Marvel movies. I haven't started on the Marvel movies, but the Mandalorian was not as "wow!!" as I was expecting. I was actually UNDER-whelmed by it, based on how "great" so many people claimed it was. So, go into The Mandalorian expecting "ehhhh, pretty decent" and you'll probably be alright with it. I was expecting "amazing!" and it wasn't that...
