My delco battery I bought 4.5 years ago is toast. I'm ready to get me an Optima. I have a red one in the Suburban and it works great..... This is going in my '01. Should I get yellow or red? I am going to do a little research in a sec but I wanted to see everyones choice. I'm gonna try to find a place that sells them where they are relatively new, not been sitting on the shelf for two years. I'm also going to trickle charge it up before I stick it in the truck. I would say red because you dont run a ton of electronics or a winch. I got a 800CCA redtop and it works great. No problem with my off road lights or other accessories. JMO
Go with whichever one you feel good about overpaying for. Seriously though, there are numerous batteries out there that will work more than sufficiently for much less money.
Yes its gell cell. It was 171.99 at advanced auto parts. I did not have to charge it. It was fully charged when I hooked it up.
My local Oreillys wants $179.99 for the 800CCA red top. I dont have a problem spending that, but I guess I could look around to see what else is out there. With the same CCA...
Plus I always have $20 off coupons for advanced so it was just over $150. You must have one around you.
I rock coupons on EVERYTHING. If I had some electronic ones I would send it to ya but I dont. Sorry. My friends call me lame for it but I save some serious coin over time.
