Ok So after wheels/tires I want to get a good security system & remote start. We are having a lot of crimes/robberies gonna on in our town. The economy you know

Anyways I think If I'm gonna invest thousands of dollars in my vehicle I want a good system too, and not cheap out. I have decided on the Viper 5901 system, they also have the app to use the remote start with your smart phone.

My question to y'all is what else do I need? Mblouir and I were talking and he mentioned that we need a PATS BYPASS. I was wondering if I need anything else?

Mark showed me a link on Amazon: VIPER 5901

Best Buy offers the whole kit installed for $499.99 yet they say in a clause this:

Anybody have any idea? I really want a remote start for those hot summer months. I really like the idea of locking and unlocking from a good ways off too

Advice, Thoughts, opinions etc...are more than welcome :D

I would say the professional install would be dealing with the various sensors, proximity especially and setting the others up properly.

Too bad you arent closer to me. I could install that sumbitch for you if you bought it from Amazon. You'd save an assload over what BB wants to charge. And yeah, all you should need is the PATS bypass module.

Just to clarify I am going to get it installed somewhere professionally. Maybe Bestbuy :dunno:

Make the drive over :D, I'll throw in some beer, food and a place to stay

So what are some good brands to buy a PATS bypass from?

I figure installation would be roughly $150 from BB?

Make sure to check with BB first, a lot of times they require it to be bought from them for it to be installed by them.
