It's a 2270, as evidenced by a visual aid.



We (I) also have a Dual turntable that I rescued from my Uncle's garage.
AH! 2270. What a classic. I'd say about 1973. All of the best vintage Marantz came from the 70s. It's a good piece. Can be made 100% sonically better with a recap job (swapping out the tired old capacitors for some computer grade new units). Makes a ton of difference in the warmth.

Well that would be cool. TObias and I both have an HTPC that looks a bit like an old piece of electronics. They are actually new but the style is a bit retro. Pretty cool.

I've got some stuff at work that is from 60s, and then 90s, a lot of marantz, they still make quality professional equipment, mostly for recording cds from live sources
