I have a 1998 Sony that has two tape decks, a 5 disc CD turntable and detachable speakers. I'd let it go for probably $350. :D

I might be able to hook you up with an old apple. Really old. Its a desktop with about a 7 inch screen.

Old home audio receivers and the like tweak me. I have some old Marantz stuff. Love the old Advent / Henry Kloss stuff...

I had a CRAIG tube amp. That thing was amazing. It would melt 15" theater speakers regularly. My sister may still have it, I will check for you, Jim.

Check this out Jim. The brand name is "MCS" which stands for Modular Component Systems. I have no idea how old it is, I picked it up from someone like you who had a houseful of vintage electronics. We had to fix the cable that holds the needle for the tuner indicator and it works great. This thing has a lot of power (for it's age anyway). It is my garage stereo.

MCS was a Panasonic brand. That is vintage 1979 - 1981 stuff there. Mid line model that probably puts out 35 - 50 watts per channel. The deceptive thing about those old wattage ratings is that they were based on actual deliverable power... not the "peak" IC power that today's less expensive brands claim. 50 watts from 1979 would blow away the so called 100 watt per channel Sony and Pioneer type stuff for sale today.

I love the old stuff for the warm sound they produce... Just can't get that with todays crappy IC amps. Modern stuff with discrete components is quite expensive.

While you have a valid point... I've been honing my collectible goodies since the 80s. What can I say? I like quality stuff.
