Transmission fluid, what's your running temp?

So far the highest I have seen mine is 184. That was with an outside temp of 99 and a drive on the interstate.

I also flushed all my fluid out and replaced it with Dexron IV. I hear that fluid runs cooler that the Dexron III. :dunno:

It would because it is closer to synthetic than the old DIII.

Well the Castrol Dexron IV that I have in there said "synthetic blend" on the bottle. It better be some damn good stuff, I paid like 7 or 8 bucks a quart for that stuff. :fume:

Dang Scotty, that is the same price as a Preferred Customer/Dealer for AMSOIL. $7.75. You got robbed. :lol:

I know. I remember I asked you about it when I was doing the fluid swap. I waited till the last minute and couldn't wait on the shipping time for the Amsoil because I was going out of town in my truck and I needed to get the fliud replaced within the next day. :dunce:

Been keeping an eye on it for a few days now. Mid 80's all weekend and towing my little jetski the highest I saw was 160 but my driving is 90% Highway/country roads so there's always some good airflow going through the tranny cooler. I will keep an eye on it in town some day and see what happens.
