which is the strongest or most desirable transfer case for a oldergm pick up, np203, np205, np208 and i know theres more but cant remeber. thanks

I believe the Dana 20 was also available in your style of truck. All of the NPs are excellent tcases with available aftermarket up grades icluding replacement gears and doubler kits( putting two tranfer cases together to get super low gear reductions) The 203 and 208 are both chain drive while the Dana and 205(divorced 205 also) are gear driven.Chain is quieter generally. The 208 is a aluminum housing(70+lbs lighter than 203 or 205) while the others are all cast iron. It (208)also has a lower low range gear and planetary gear reduction.

Basically it all comes down to what your gonna use it (abuse it)for. If I had the dineros Id get an Atlas 2 t-case.
