Well as luck would have it there is a high wind warning in the desert where we want to go.The NWS says wind gusts to 55mph are likely and mostly crosswinds.I'm not sure if I want to tow my toy hauler full of kids, weekend gear, food, bikes etc. in wind like that.I've towed in wind that's maybe 20-30mph but not 55,what say you guys,I'm on the fence on this one..............

If I was going to tow in windy conditions, I'd want to be in a Suburban... but 55 mph is some bad ass wind if you get it in a crosswind situation.

If it doesn't feel right, don't risk it. Better safe than sorry.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.Maybe I can find a ph. number for a local police department in that area to see what the wind is actually like.

Love my burb,it did great.

or the wind will turn you around for you. :D2

There were a couple of times when the wind tried to do this but I was able to maintain a straight forward trajectory

It was pretty windy and had a few crosswind gusts but overall no issues. The old 239,000+mile burb did great, got us there and back with ease...and that's towing a toy hauler loaded with bikes, gear, food, beer and a shit ton of firewood.

The burb tows so nice...straight as an arrow(when not windy :jester:).
