Im in heavy debate of getting the diablo tuner... Im deathly afraid about losing my warranty, but they keep saying that you can take it out and it leaves no trace. Then other people say that dodge can still see if there computer was modified...

A diablo tuner would EASILY get me into the 14's... This truck wasn't bought for racing, its just an addiction and i dont have my second vehicle yet to turn into a drag car lol. I figure, throw on a programmer, intake, do 14's, then throw on my leveling kit with meaty tires and be happy.

Any hand held tuner would show up. I'm not a big fan of diablo becuase of the horror storys i'v heard about frying transmissions. 4.10's or 4.56's with a 3,000 stall would put you in 14's. How much of the exhaust have you changed?
I havent heard anything about that on the new rams, apparently their predator tuners dont even touch the transmissions. Superchips has the transmission tuner.

Directly from diablo, they said they have never had an issue with dodge finding their tuners, they even list on their website their tuners leave no trace or leave watermarks after u remove them...

Difficult choice... seems to be a very popular choice among the dodge owners

im only 1 tenth off from the 14's, gears alone costs thousands to do on a 4x4, not worth it for me.

Exhuast is all stock besides the muffler.

gears for a 4x4 should be $600:dunno: With the beefier tires, you wouldnt regret it. If you want to really keep the cost down, theres a bunch of small stuff you can try. A fast man throttle body, Thottle body grounding kit and a CAI will get you there.

Wont mess with your warranty

Are you going for track times?

You can just do the normal track tricks for free. 1/4 gas, no spare tire, etc. Remove what unnecessary weight you can.

No, this isn't a track vehicle lol. Just my daily driver and I wanted to see how it would do.

Gears down here cost over $800 for parts because I would be throwing in an LSD as well, then the labour costs. Just too much money... I'm not going much bigger on tires. Just a bit wider and an a/t tire so it will be heavier, but I figure a tune alone will make up for whatever is lost goin to a heavier tire. Especially since i do a lot of highway driving into work, the gears I have now are good for that. Got 22.8 mpg with a full tank on the way to work, includin some stopping and going but mostly highway

Those times aren't bad at all for a stock truck. :dunno:
