For the first time "EVER" I let the truck go till the oil life monitor said it needed changing. It came on Thursday at just a little over 6000 miles. Had the oil changed Saturday. Probably won't do that again. Usually change it around 5000 miles or sooner.
Every 2000. I use Valvoline 10-30 Conventional and MotorCraft FL-820s Filter. Still looks like new when I drain it out, but that could be because it's about once a month I change it.
WOW! Every 2000. No wonder the oil looks new coming out. It is. Never knew anybody that changed it that soon. It might be overkill but it isn't going to hurt anything. You'll always have clean oil.
When my oil pan had a hole in it, around 2000 miles is when it'd be on the Add line so that's when I'd change it. After I put the new oil pan on, I just stuck with 2000. No other reason than it makes me feel good.
5000 miles for the F150, when the comp tell me with the flex. ford says 7500, dont have the ballz to go that far
I've been known to change the oil at 2K, but that was mainly due to boredom. I normally would put 3K on my truck every two months.
Anywhere between 3 - 5k miles.... Usually 3k if I have the money for it at the time Amsoil 5W-30 year round, WIX filter.... I usually beat the ever loving piss out of my truck... So I try to keep up on oil changes
