Usually every 5000 for me. I'm not TOO strict about it anymore since I figured about how oil life monitoring system works. It usually ends up telling me to change the oil about every 5-6k miles so I have just been going by that now.

When I changed my oil the last time, I forgot to reset the system. I think it came on around 3800 for me. I can't really remember, but I set it this time.

ya i change my oil by the percentage monitor on my dash. i use valvoline full synthetic. i was going to use royal purple full synthetic, but i read on the bottle where it doesnt comply with i think 2005 or newer vehicles warranty or something

In the burb, I still have the Hendrick service plan - every 5k until I hit 30k. When that is up I will switch it to LE and change at the computer recommended intervals.

The beast gets a new filter every year or after track or dyno days (does not get driven very often) until I get a few more bugs worked out then every 5k with LE.

Ford work truck, it gets a new filter every 15k. I dump 1-2 quarts a week in the engine so i think it changes itself depending on how hard I am pushing it that week.

Mother-in-laws avalanche gets LE and changed by the computer.

Only use Wix filters or AC. The Turd gets a motorcraft when I take it to the dealer for service.

Are you sure? That doesn't make sense. RP is a good oil and it should be good to go in all vehicles.

ya ill have to look at it again. if i go into a parts store ill check it out but im sure thats why i didnt run it in the first place so then i was using mobil 1 and i heard about how valvoline beat it in a engine life/wear test on i think fsc and i switched. id much rather run RP.

We don't put many miles on them, so I change oil twice a year. 5W-30 Havoline and PF-48 filters.

I don't worry too much about it. I run Mobil 1 5W30 and Mobil 1 filter. My truck doesn't go on long trips or drives and I don't tow very much. I usually change between 6000 and 7500 (or more when I don't check). I know how it gets driven since I'm the only one that drives it.

Coming up on 10,000 on this oil, will be changing soon in the next 1,600 miles and sending off to Blackstone for Analysis
