Ok, the skock GY Eagles that came on my truck have about 38,000 miles on them and its very close to time to replace them. I am saving money to buy some new tires and need to see how much I need to save.

I have started researching, but I want to hear from the people I trust most. So, I am interested in what tires you have and if you would buy them again. I really am not that concerned with cost, tires are one place I will not cheap out.

Here are the requirements.

1. Must be American made.
2. I am looking for a "street" tire, but I am not really interested in any crazy thread pattern that belongs on a slammed sport truck.
3. I want good dry and wet traction. I could care less about snow, I'm in TX.

One of my top choices right now is the Michelen X Radial LT2. Anyone running them? What are your thoughts?

Thanks guys (and gals)!!

Well, if you ease up on the made in the USA thing, the Yokohama Parada Spec-X is a very nice tire and rated extremely high (#1) by TireRack.com in it's class.

My father has always had good luck with his Michelin tires on trucks and SUV's though.

Is the Parada what you just bought?

I may be talked into a non American tire, but I really just feel like I should. Plus, there is a Michelin plant in my parents home town. But, I am not set on them.

I will look at the Yokohama tonight.

It's the set I bought for my 20's, yes. It's also what Michael has been running on his Sierra Denali for quite awhile.

I also JUST bought a set for the 16's but they are the Geolander H/T-S's. That tire doesn't come in a 20 though.

Here it is anyway: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=Geolandar+H%2FT-S+G051

Many Michelins are made overseas. Michelin in fact is a French Corporation.

I love the Pirellis I have on my truck. They are American made in Sao Paulo Brazil (South American).

Hmmm...Did not know this. In Ardmore OK, they have a plant that a number of our friends work at.:dunno:
