Hey guys I'm out in the garage working on a project. I was putting on a zoom double roller chain. I was setting it on 4 retard. Do I need to turn the crank to get it dot to dot? Or just leave it where I took it off at which was at o mark but with the 4 retard mark on the gear?

If the cam hasn't changed, I don't see why leaving it where it is would hurt. I'd still go through the process of degreeing the cam in the normal process. Check TDC and checking PTV clearances.

What engine is this going in?

It's a 350 SBC. Just a 8.5 compression engine. After looking at it and putting the cam gear on...it looks like I have to turn the crank just a tad to get it to align up.
