Ticking..

No I'm not making this up. Truck was parked in my garage for about 2 days. I started it up, everything seemed fine. Drove it out. When I gave it some gas and the RPMs climbed, I started to hear a ticking noise. Noise was not loud at all, but you could definitely hear it. It has done this once before when we were installing the navigation system and drove it out. I'm not too worried as I will most likely sell it sometime next year and upgrade to the Platinum model. Oil changes were done by GM when the OLM reached around 10%. Used regular oil so far, but I'm pretty sure I will start to do my own oil changes from now on and switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic. See if that eliminates the problem or not. Should I mention this to the dealer?

edit: Forgot to mention that the speakers stopped working as well. Pulled into a gas station, turned the truck on and off and they started working again!

Hmmm, I would guess it is just noisy lifters. You could mention it to the dealer but I would guess they will just say "It is a normal operating sound"

But say something malfunctions down the road related to the lifters, will they repair it no charge?
