Have a 1990 GMC (before they hung Chevrolet on it and called it an SUV) Suburban; am thinking of a Camo paint job, really want the chocolate chip. Anyone here know where to get the stencils, and how about paint? Have seen some pretty awful camo paint jobs, not interested in big blobby green and brown. All ideas and info appreciated.

IMO stencils defeat the point of camo on a vehicle. I like dull lines, nothing discernible.

On my jonboat I used a dark green drab primary layer, then layed down sand colored streaks. It blends in really well with tall grass and reeds, and blends in with water pretty well too; I made the streaks on the deck a little wavy so in murky or ripply water it blends in great. On the sides, the streaks are pretty much vertical, but sort of random. It would definitely be easier to spot if I had used a stencil of some kind, due to the sharp edges they make.
