Couldn't you look up the two years on Rock Auto and see what is listed? That might show a difference if there is one.

Either that, or it's the lesser of the two but you need to buy something else to go along with it, such as the water pump for my truck was the less expensive one, but had to buy the thermostat/housing which actually cost more than the other water pump when you combine the two.I usually find that if there's different parts, my vehicle needs the more expensive version

Ehhh, close enough
I did the work yesterday and it turns out that the 06 thermostat is just a little bit smaller than the 07 classic. The springs were also different.
